January - and finally caught up!

We are back in Chelan and it is freaking cold here. Upside ... the snow is all frozen and it is absolutely GORGEOUS outside. Plus, if you have to be stuck in the house, I'm not sure I could pick one more comfortable or beautiful than this lovely one in Chelan. Downside ... we are stuck in the house. Although we often decide that we can't stand it anymore, bundle the kids up, and go for a walk. So, here is Kees enjoying his first time in his snow suit thing, and his first time in the Bob. It was a success! And a big shout-out to my parents for the Bob winter shield ... it's awesome.

Kees is getting so big and handsome!!! As a side note, Kees is 12 weeks today and doing AWESOME. He had his 8 week shots last week (oops, we were a little late ... the plight of the second child I suppose). He weighed in at 13 pounds and 23.5 inches long, about the 50% for both. The doctor then proceeded to tell me not to worry if he's big, because most breastfed babies are. I had to laugh because all the time I was thinking ... "yikes, the 50% is so small!!!" Calvin had/has always weighed in and measured in the 95-100% ... always. Kees handled his shots like a champ and is growing well, eating awesome, and sleeping well. Here he is, showing off his strong head!

Seriously, those blue eyes are killer.

Calvin is also doing super well. His vocabulary has really started to explode in the last month or so. He can string together full sentences now ... well, almost full ... words are almost always missing, but he can put enough words together to really communicate. It's awesome and he is becoming quite a chatter box. I love it. Here he is drawing in his play-doh. And eating it. No matter how much salt I put in ... he still eats it. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

Calvin is being brain-washed by Matthew early. Uncle Tim got him a Seahawks shirt for Christmas so he can root on the big team. Matt taught him to say, "Go Seahawks! Go beast mode!" It's pretty cute. Especially since he really has no idea what he's saying.

Sweet little love ... This is me trying to prove that he looks like me ... since everyone says the same thing they said about Calvin ... "He looks just like Matt!!! ... but with your coloring". Oh brother.

This kid cracks me up ... he loves this elf hat. And who can resist that little smile?!
