Scotland!

We spent a great five days in Scotland with my parents last week. This country is BEAUTIFUL and has definitely been added to the list of places we want to return to one day ... I think we needed about a month to really see the highlands and all the sweet little country villages we went through. The first few days we drove through some parts of the South-western highlands. It was absolutely lovely. We stayed in a little cove that had one small street of houses and lots of sailboats. I also saw my first Scottish cow ... and thought it was an ox or something it was so funny looking ... funny awesome though.
There was SO much beautiful, unique looking countryside. Here's me and my dad
and me and my sweetie! He was an excellent chauffeur ... especially since he had to drive a backwards stick on the wrong side of the road.
We were so lucky to have sun almost our entire trip - but the sky would occasionally spit this fantastic hail at us - this was the sky in one of those fun moments.
I feel like there should be some sort of song with this picture ... Matt calls it my Keira Knightly on the banks of Moore shot.
We stopped at a beautiful old church and Calvin played in some of the graves. Touching. Haha.
A pretty castle! With my momma.
And my dear little family.
More pretty sailboats by our hotel.
With Calvin at Loch Lomond ... two minutes before the hail storm started!
We stopped at St. Andrews on our way out of the Highlands - here is Matthew on the Hole 18 bridge. Apparently that's a cool thing.
Another castle in Stirling ... Calvin and I were hanging out while the others toured.
Matt and a really old roadside castle.

Beautiful Edinburgh! This is from the castle up on top of the hill.
And Edinburgh is full of John Knox trivia ... including this church where he preached. Calvin liked to run in front of it.
This was one of the places we would definitely like to visit again - beautiful country, friendly people, so much to see! It was a fun taste of the Scottish culture.

Any signs of the Loch Ness Monster? Inquiring minds want to know.
