That evening we were struggling getting Calvin to calm down. About an hour before bed, when I realized I had bathed him WAY too early, we decided it was too beautiful a night to sit inside while Calvin slept. So we packed him up and headed out to a restaurant on the canal where we sat and had a drink. We thanked Calvin for being a champ and got him home and to bed - only about 15 minutes late! We were pretty proud of our good idea.
On Sunday we decided to check out a local protestant church in the area. We walked there, got Calvin situated in the nursery, and quickly realized it was the most boring church we had ever been at. So, after about 10 minutes, we pulled Calvin out of the nursery ... and left. We were in a new part of town so we sat and had a coffee, then walked around a bit before heading home.
Later that day, we packed up some snacks and set off to find a nice place on the canal to be outside, see people, and enjoy the nice weather.
Calvin was quite intruiged by the dirty canal water (of course) and enjoyed walking around a bit in the streets.
This was one of the many times he didn't want help. So he stood hanging out with the pole, until ...
the inevitable happened. Pole in mouth. Of course.
Matthew getting creative with the photos.
It was a great Sunday! Thank you Amsterdam, for not raining!
