Recent Happenings

Okay, we have pictures! Here is dear sweet Calvin all ready to go to church on Sunday. Every time we put him in these little outfits I can't believe how OLD he looks. This outfit survived the car ride ... but never actually made it to church. This is becoming a trend.

Naked time! He's laughing at Matt ;).

We went to an ugly sweater party this weekend. Matt was very proud of his sweater. And for some reason thought squeezing into my pajama pants would be funny. We took a picture, but he wore his own pants out of the house.

And not to forget sweet Henry! Here he is ... still cute as a bug.

Jungle time! Calvin is getting SO vocal. New to the last few weeks is his great desire to communicate. He'll look right at us and then spit/blow bubbles/slobber all over himself. Apparently this is his current form of "talking". While it's incredibly messy, it's very fun and it's fun to watch him try so desperately to interact. That's not what's in the video, but a small taste of his developments as of late - lots of kicking, hitting, talking, grunting, etc. What a funny kid.

Since this blog is sort of also becoming our Calvin baby book/journal, I will also say that our little stinker has decided he doesn't really like to be away from the party ... meaning that sleeping has become a challenge. There is not really "sleeping on the go" anymore, as he seems to require his bed and quiet for a good nap or for going to bed at night. This is a big change for Matt and I, and we're doing our best to adjust. He let us know he was done with the swaddle at night a few weeks ago, but reverted back to needing to be swaddled for naps. His sleeping seems to be a daily experiment ... what will happen today? When will he go to bed tonight? How long will he sleep? What fun.

We have his four month doctor's visit tomorrow ... and shots. Yuck. We're excited to see how much this big boy weighs. Stats to come!

I knew it! After watching Calvin in this latest "clip" he is clearly showing himself to be the next world champ tether ball player!
